After spending weeks on the road recruiting, Florida head coach Will Muschamp and his staff are back in Gainesville hosting 12 official visitors this weekend.

Nine UF verbals will be spending quality time with their future coaches and teammates, while three uncommitted targets ponder the possibility of joining the party.

Despite the departure of offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Tampa receiver Nelson Agholor decided to make the trip as originally planned. He has yet to announce his finalists, but the consensus is that Florida, Notre Dame and USC are the favorites to land the Berkeley Prep five-star.

On the defensive side of the ball, five-star defensive end Darius Hamilton (Ramsey, N.J./Don Bosco Prep) and four-star linebacker Josh Harvey-Clemons (Valdosta, Ga./Lowndes) are coming down and both have UF in their top two. This is Hamilton’s first visit to Gainesville and he’s someone that could play right away as a freshman. Harvey-Clemons still has officials set up to Florida State (Jan. 13) and Georgia (Jan. 20), so the coaches need to make an impression that will stick with him for the next six weeks.

Florida’s other officials have their recruiting caps on and their pitches ready, trying to get these three to be part of the 2012 class.
