It's a simple formula, to be successful, you have to be able to take care of your own turf. Alabama does it, LSU does it, why can't Florida. Lake City is just up the interestate, and we can't recruit our own back yard........geez...what is WM doing down there??

All the Georgia talk will probably cool off after the season and after Mark Richt gets fired. Georgia never performs up to expectations and this season will cost him his job.

I agree with emk. Richt's record is 3-8 against his main rival, Florida. They haven't won an SEC championship in seven years. He was on the hot seat last season and year before - heck all preseason last year there were predictions that his job could be lost in the first 2 games. I'd say another second place finish in the SEC East puts him back on it. As far as recruits, I'm not sure they should see much stability in that program.

I dont think this recruit thought this trhough.....he could have gone to NEB and STARTED, no questions. why is it that many recruits just are concerned about the weather (warm), when if they get to the NFL, it may be very cold......I dont get it.

If he's serious about his career, he'll go to Bama. If Mom is looking for something in return, he needs to go elsewhere. Bama needs him to shore up the left tackle position, and you can bet CNS spoke to him about the position. But, that being said, CNS also told him he'd have to earn it, just like any other player that comes to UA.

I have to admit, he'd look imposing in Crimson, White, and Crystal.

Tim wanted to play for Bryant Young and be a Gator only reason he did not is because WM does not Have the closer ability on his resume YET, and there was never a comfort zone reached betwween the HC and a lifelong Gator. 2nd point is about Laremy and those who say he is afraid of DJH/competition yes he will be a left tackle, and if you watch him play you will understand that he is a rare OT who can make blocks at the 2nd and 3rd level.WE can definitely use that on this team.

I understand your point to some degree, two points I did not understand was "he way WM and coaches approached him" and "BTW watch him for an entire game and then tell me he is afraid of competition". Please explain those two comments, I don't recall posting anything about his competitiveness(1st) and what is your take on how the coaches approached him. Is it a matter of public record, because I don't recall any adverse coverage of Mr. Jernigans recruitment. I'm not denying it, I'm just saying I don't recall anything negative about his recruitment. I only remember them being HOT and HEAVY on this kid (JERNIGAN).
NOW with JERNIGAN, I do remember(way back then) questioning his competitive spirit against the class of which he was with. Just explain the two points if you will, Thanks. GO GATORS!!!!
