Good luck Chris. Glad to have you apart of the GatorNation. I think you are a heck of a ball player and I think you will succeed at UF. The 4 n 5 stars are overrated to a degree. You got your offer performing in front of the coaches at FNL’s, that’s proof enough to me. J and Swampman I agree with both of your comments. UF definitely needs to get the local talent, but I can’t argue with the choices the coaching staff has made. They are definitely doing something right. Once again great job Zach. Keep that info coming.

This kid has what can’t be taught. He is probably the fastest WR we will sign this year. He reminds me a lot of current DB Brian Poole on film, and the coaches absolutely love that kid. This kid is a good get, and remember this thread in about 3-4 years of his development. Not only that, he is a good, hard working kid, and a good student. We pass on way too many local kids who can flat out play… Anyome remember Clinto Portis?

Don’t judge a player off ONE game, look at a more complete package. We should all know that one game does not make a career, so don’t judge him by the one game you may have seen. Thes coaches watch a lot of film and live games, they have seen something that you didn’t see in that one playoff game. Give them the benifit of the doubt of knowing what they are looking for in a receiver. They have been doing a great job since they have been here with time t evaluate talent. GO GATORS!!!!

Thank you J.O. for the hopeful attitude. GatorGrad08 what were Louisville WR rated at because we got out played by them. Its the heart in the man and the work ethic that will tell the tale in the end. That is also why we are taking 6 WR in this class. Can’t afford to wait on one guy to step up anymore.

I saw him play in the semi-finals against Navarre and he played great. He is very smooth running. He makes defined cuts when running his routes, which would be an improvement on what our receivers do now. He actually played DB really well on Navarre’s top WR (Leggitt, a clemson committ) and had an INT on a deep throw where he out played Leggitt to the ball. He also had TD catch on a corner route where he left the DB holding his ankles at about the ten yard line. I think with the right motivation and coaching he could do very well.

I seen Thompson play in the state championship game against Miami Central. He is not the impact player that people think that he is. He did absolutely nothing to help his team win that game, he did pull a great disappearing act though
