Gators hosting four-star CB this weekend

Florida coach Will Muschamp is once again looking to dip into Bolingbrook, Illinois.

In 2012, he signed a somewhat underrated linebacker in Antonio Morrison, who was a three-star prospect on two recruiting sites. The hard-hitting defender made the SEC Coaches All-Freshman team this past season and has already established himself as one of Florida’s best players.

His former teammate, consensus four-star cornerback Parrker Westphal, will arrive in Gainesville on Saturday for his first visit to UF. The 6-foot, 186-pounder has garnered more than 20 offers and is a member of the ESPN150 and Rivals250.

Westphal, like Morrison, is hoping to make his decision before the start of his senior season. The two have a close relationship and it could be a big help to Florida moving forward.

Westphal hasn’t put together a list of favorites yet, but Michigan is the presumed leader. His trip this weekend is critical for UF and will likely determine whether or not he ends up a Gator.

I have read quite a bit about this kid and I sure hope he becomes a Gator. Having him on one corner and VH III on the other would be unreal!

I’m glad Gators are able to get interest from many defensive players…hopefully one day we can get offensive players to think the same…

We can show him how we’ve developed top notch CB’s and the NFL draft picks we have. Most young men who are that dedicated one to take it to the next level. UF can help him do that

You said it all,Gary. Something tells me if we would have got Stefon Diggs last year, all of this WR/weak passing game talk would be dead. He was explosive as a frosh. Spilled milk though. Hopefully the WRs this year flip the switch and the OL gets better with pass pro. The running game is butter though.

HedRock, we also missed on WR who went to Maryland…I believe both of those WRs had better stats then our WRs and they weren’t starters…Pease gotta show us something in the passing game
