Defensive end Lorenzo Featherston made a visit to Florida on Friday with a pair of his coaches from Greensboro (N.C.) Page.

Though not very talkative, the ESPN150 member still gave positive comments regarding his trip.

“It’s a new experience. It’s different,” he said. “The campus is great. The coaching staff is great. Everything is great.”

The 6-foot-7, 215-pounder was at Florida State the day before and didn’t have anything to say about it. His previous visit was to Tennessee, and the Gators topped that trip as well.

“I guess they did more here than they did at Tennessee to welcome me,” said Featherston, who was hosted by redshirt freshman DE Alex McCalister and the other North Carolina products on Florida’s football team.

He also spent time with defensive line coach Brad Lawing, his primary recruiter. Lawing’s coaching experience is a selling point for the four-star prospect.

“He talks about it all the time,” Featherston said. “He’s real serious, real cool, seems like a good guy.”

Featherston, ranked by ESPN as the nation’s 26th overall prospect and No. 4 at his position, has no favorites or a decision timeframe, but he plans to be back at UF for an official visit.
