Florida commit Will Grier is off to a solid start at the Elite 11 quarterback competition in Beaverton, Ore.

On Monday, the event’s coaches, headed by former NFL QB and ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer, released their initial rankings of the top 11 quarterbacks and Grier came in at No. 5 on the list.

The 18-player competition continues Tuesday with 7-on-7 pool play at The Opening. The final Elite 11, including the MVP, will be announced Wednesday following the 7-on-7 championship game.
