Before heading to Gainesville last Saturday to attend Florida’s game against Tennessee, J.C. Jackson led Immokalee to a 26-3 victory over Naples Barron Collier.

The ESPN150 member accounted for 12 of his team’s points.

Jackson scored twice, made two interceptions and caught a pair of passes for 31 yards in the game. He also finished with three tackles and two punt returns for 22 yards.

It was the second straight win for the Indians, who brought their record to 2-2 with Friday’s result.

Here are some other UF pledges who performed well last week:

QB Will Grier, Davidson (N.C.) Day: In just one half of play, Grier threw for 370 yards and six touchdowns on 18-of-22 passing and also rushed twice for 54 yards. His team went on to shut out Community School of Davidson, 45-0.

CB Duke Dawson, Cross City Dixie County: Dawson scored on a 60-yard touchdown run out of the Wildcat formation, which proved to be the difference in a 38-32 win over Williston. The Bears are now 5-0 on the year and off to their best start since 2009.

CB Chris Lammons, Fort Lauderdale Plantation: Lammons sat out most of the first half due to an arm injury, but returned in the second to rush for 170 yards on just five carries at quarterback and score on touchdowns runs of 77 and 36 yards. Plantation defeated Davie Nova, 40-0.
