Commit of the week: WR Ermon Lane

by

Ermon Lane gave Will Muschamp something to smile about Friday night.

With his future head coach watching from the sidelines, Lane scored three touchdowns (two receiving, one rushing) in Homestead’s 36-0 shutout of Miami Edison.

“Coach Muschamp loved my performance,” Lane tweeted after the game.

The Under Armour All-American now has seven touchdowns and 470 yards on 24 receptions this season, an average of 20 yards per catch.

RB Dalvin Cook, Miami Central: Cook carried the ball 11 times for 108 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-14 win against Miami Carol City.

CB Duke Dawson, Cross City Dixie County: Dawson had a team-high eight tackles and a pass breakup in front of Muschamp, who was in attendance for the Thursday night game. The Bears beat Newberry, 51-11.

CB Chris Lammons, Fort Lauderdale Plantation: Lammons led his team with 67 yards rushing and returned an interception 92 yards for a touchdown on the game’s final play to give his Colonels a 26-12 win over Oakland Park Northeast.
