Florida’s 2019 class picked up its second commitment in a 24-hour span.
Jashon Watkins, a 6-foot-4 athlete out of East Nashville Magnet School (Tenn.) gave the Gators his verbal commitment Saturday.
Gators coach Jim McElwain confirmed Watkins’ commitment.

A four-star prospect, Watkins primarily plays free safety and cornerback for East Nashville.

With Watkins’ commitment, which in non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have five commitments in the 2019 class.
UF’s 2019 class is currently ranked No. 2 according to 247Sports.
