Florida’s 2018 class landed a verbal commitment Saturday from a three-star in-state defensive end with more than 20 scholarship offers.
Taylor Upshaw, a 6-foot-5, 240-pound prospect out of Braden River High in Bradenton, verbally committed to coach Jim McElwain and the Gators after visiting UF for a camp.

McElwain confirmed Upshaw’s commitment via his Twitter account.
With Upshaw’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have eight verbal commits in the 2018 class.
