Florida’s 2018 class landed a commitment Tuesday from a highly recruited offensive lineman out of IMG Academy (Bradenton).

Curtis Dunlap Jr., a 6-foot-4, 365-pound offensive guard, verbally committed to the Gators and coach Jim McElwain via his Twitter account.

McElwain confirmed Dunlap’s commitment soon after his announcement.

Today would’ve been my father’s 52nd birthday and I couldn’t think of a more special way to honor him other than committing on this day,” Dunlap wrote on his Twitter account.

Dunlap is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 6 overall offensive guard in the 2018 class by 247Sports.

With Dunlap’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a national letter of intent, the Gators have eight commits in the 2018 class.
