Alvin Bailey was a jack-of-all-trades for Seffner Armwood’s high school football team.
He played every offensive skill position, defensive back and special teams.

In his latest diary with 247Sports, five-star linebacker Raekwon McMillan (Hinesville, Ga./Liberty County) went in-depth about the college coaches who are recruiting him personally.
When he got to Florida’s Will Muschamp, the Under Armour All-American compared him to a coach from the defending national champs. But it wasn’t his old mentor, Nick Saban.

Rivals.com released its updated Rivals100 on Monday and Florida’s two commits slightly dropped in the rankings.
At No. 24 overall, Miami Central running back Dalvin Cook is now the highest-rated recruit by Rivals for the Gators. He’s down two spots from his previous rank and was passed by Oakley (Calif.) Freedom running back Joe Mixon, who jumped from 82nd overall to 15 and earned his fifth star.

In the past two recruiting cycles, Florida looked to the JUCO ranks for linemen and found success at the same school in consecutive years.
The Gators landed Damien Jacobs in 2012 and returned to East Mississippi C.C. to sign defensive tackles Darious Cummings and Jarran Reed in the last class.
UF is hoping to have similar results at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Ga.

There’s been a change of plans for Winter Park defensive end Trenton Harris.
For more than a month, he’s been scheduled to make his commitment at his spring game on May 24 and had Florida as his frontrunner. But an offer from Ohio State on Monday put a hold on that announcement.

DeLand offensive tackle Benjamin Knox can scratch another goal off of his list.
The Florida commit was selected to the Semper Fidelis All-American Game on Wednesday. The game, which is in its third year, will be nationally televised on NFL Network in January and is presented by the United States Marine Corps.

As tall as the task may be, Florida isn’t stopping its pursuit of Alabama commit Bo Scarbrough.
On Tuesday, UF running backs coach Brian White stopped by Scarbrough’s school for the second time this spring.
“After practice, he told me I look like a stallion,” Scarbrough said. “I told him I’m trying to be.”

Florida defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin spent his Tuesday afternoon in Ponte Verda evaluating linebacker Dillon Bates.

For the Florida Gators to have a legitimate shot with Bolingbrook (Ill.) cornerback Parrker Westphal, they needed to get him on campus and blow him away.
Mission accomplished.
The four-star recruit visited UF over the weekend and enjoyed his stay.
“It was great,” Westphal wrote in a text message to the Sun. “I loved the campus and how it’s set up. Everything necessary for an athlete is all around the same area on campus.”
