Gators lose 3-star DL Javier Edwards

The Gators lost their second defensive tackle commit within the last week Sunday when Javier Edwards chose to decommit from the 2017 class. The three-star defensive lineman out of Blinn College (Tx.) took an official visit to Arkansas on Saturday. Florida’s 2017 class lost the state’s No. 5 defensive tackle Tuesday. Gators expecting 2 official visitors for homecoming vs. Missouri

Saturday’s homecoming game against Missouri marks Florida’s first game in The Swamp in nearly a month. Florida’s biggest home game of the season was postponed due to Hurricane Matthew, and the game has yet to be re-scheduled. Along with an important SEC match-up, Florida’s staff missed a critical opportunity to host recruits on campus.
