Gators hosting pair of 3* recruits in 2018 class

After hosting a full slate of prospects on campus for the Orange and Blue Debut game last weekend, the Gators coaching staff will host just two recruits on campus today that have yet to receive scholarship offers from Florida. 6-foot-3, 275-pound defensive tackle Darnell Jefferies out of Newton High (Covington, Ga.) will arrive in Gainesville on Saturday to meet with UF’s coaching staff and visit the facilities. NCAA adopting new recruiting legislation before 2017 season

Division I football will adopt a new recruiting model to give coaches more access to prospects, while increasing opportunities for recruits to visit college campuses. Effective Aug. 1, the new legislation will create an early signing period in December. Jalen Goss ready for position change with Gators

When it came to Jalen Goss’ commitment, the Gators had an early advantage. A Gators fan since middle school, Goss verbally committed to coach Jim McElwain and Florida’s 2018 class while visiting Friday for the Orange and Blue Debut game.
