I’d like to start off by apologizing for the lateness of my blog. I’ve been traveling since my graduation Saturday – the last few days from Gainesville to my hometown of Oxford, Miss. I just got to Cedar Rapids, La., to see the rest of the family for Christmas, so forgive me, oh faithful readers.
With all the good cheer and the Christmas spirit alive in well in the town of Quaker Oats, I got to thinking that this is the …

It was bound to happen sooner or later, but the timing is just strange. Losing Dan Mullen was something Urban Meyer had to expect after the success his quarterbacks and his offenses have had since he and Mullen arrived, but right after the SEC Championship makes things difficult. However, in the world of recruiting, it might not have that much of an effect on who Florida gets this year or next.

Don’t think that just because Florida will be in Atlanta this weekend for the SEC Championship that the Gators aren’t thinking about the recruiting game.
This game pits two of the best recruiters in the country against each other in Meyer and Alabama’s Nick Saban. Rumor has it that Alabama commit running back Trent Richardson could be on hand. He might be committed to the Tide right now, but you …

Being from Oxford, Miss., I ventured down to Tampa for Thanksgiving with my roommate. I decided to entertain myself by taking in the Armwood-Tampa Bay Tech game. Not only was it a great playoff game to watch (Armwood 50, Tech 20), but there were a few D-I prospects out there.
The headliner was Armwood’s Ryne Giddins. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound weakside defensive end, is one of the fastest guys off the line that I’ve seen …
