So much talent to choose from

by admin

I said it on National Signing Day and I’ll say it again: Florida is going to have the greatest recruiting class of all-time in 2010. I haven’t seen a year this loaded with talent in a while and Florida is snatching up some of the best athletes out there. Of Florida’s 12 commitments so far, one is rated a five-star prospect (Matt Elam) and nine are four-star recruits, according to Rivals.com. The position with some of the best depth for Florida will become a top priority in recruiting this year. UF is set to lose seven linebackers in the next two years, leaving just four (after 2009 commit Jelani Jenkins gets on campus) on UF’s active roster. UF only signed two last year – Jenkins and Jon Bostic – and has yet to get any this year. But it’s still early and plenty of top linebackers are highly interested in the Gators. Gerald … Read More »

Spring show for recruits

by admin

With Florida getting started earlier this year in gathering verbal commits, that means you should expect to see even more young guns patrolling the streets of Gainesville this spring. Last year, the Gators hosted just a few top prospects throughout spring ball – most of them showed up for the Orange and Blue game. But this year, kids are coming from all over already to get a look at the Gators, in hopes of snatching up an offer before someone … Read More »
